CONTINUING EDUCATION INFORMATION

This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved by the Louisiana State Nurses Association – Approver, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. The following hours have been approved:

  • Pre-Summit Alzheimer’s Care and Dementia Training Class: 8.0 hours (attendance for entire education)

  • Summit: 11.0 possible hours (credit awarded commensurate with participation)

This event has been approved by LABENFA for the following approved continuing education hours for nursing home administrators:

  • Pre-Summit Dementia Training Class: 8.0 hours (attendance for entire education)

  • Summit: 11.25 possible hours (credit awarded commensurate with participation)

Other than those listed below, no other presenters, planners, or staff have any actual or perceived relevant financial relationships with ineligible companies to disclose.

  • Cindy Cysewski, MS, RD, LDN is the Director of Healthcare at Lyons Magnus. She is presenting the breakout session, "‘Reset the Table on Senior Dining.’ The relevant financial relationship has been mitigated.

  • Jeff McSpadden is the CEO and Co-Founder of COMPOSURE.  He is presenting the breakout session, ‘Reimagining Sleep in Dementia Care’. The relevant financial relationship has been mitigated.

  • Patrick Quinlan, MD, MHA, is the CEO and Co-Founder of HIPPO Technologies. He is presenting the breakout session, ‘Improving QRP through Innovation.’ The relevant financial relationship has been mitigated.

  • No relevant financial relationships were identified for any other individuals with the ability to control content of this activity.

No providers of commercial support were involved in the planning of activities. All commercial support funds have been used for social functions and food and beverage.

Earning Credit

The following steps should be completed to be awarded continuing education credit hours for both LSNA and LABENFA:

  1. Sign in at the beginning of each day with the LEADER team at registration.

  2. Attend the full session as it appears on the schedule (late arrivals and early departures will not be eligible for credit).

  3. Complete short evaluation and learning assessment at end of each session attended via the WHOVA event app.

  4. Sign out at the end of each day with the LEADER team at registration.

Credit is awarded with attendance for full pre-summit workshop (Tuesday). Credit is awarded commensurate with participation for SUMMIT activities (Wednesday and Thursday).
